ServiceOps agents
ServiceOps agents: the ticket queue, worked by agents
ServiceOps agents are AI agents that bridge IT operations and service management. They summarise a case with its key events and diagnostics, recommend the knowledge article that fits, route it to the right queue by skills and workload, identify the correct service or asset owner from the CMDB, and check changes against SACM compliance rules.
What these agents take on
Most of the delay in a ticket is not the fix - it is the time before anyone qualified is looking at it. These agents compress that: the case arrives summarised, routed and attached to the right owner.
How this differs from what you have
| Manual triage | ITSM workflow rules | Agentic ServiceOps | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Routing decided by | Whoever picks it up | A static rule table | Skills, workload and impact |
| Case context | Read from scratch | Form fields | Summarised with diagnostics |
| Knowledge reuse | If someone searches | Linked manually | Recommended from similar resolutions |
| Owner identification | Asked around | CMDB lookup, if current | Derived from CMDB and service context |
| Compliance | Checked at review | Gate on the workflow | Checked as the case moves |
The agents
- Case Summarization Agent — generates clean case summaries with key events, diagnostics and next steps.
- Case Routing & Assignment Agent — suggests best-fit queues and assignees using skills, workload and impact signals.
- KB Recommendation Agent — recommends relevant knowledge articles based on symptoms, history and similar resolutions.
- SACM Asset Ownership Agent — identifies the right service or asset owner for each case using CMDB and service context.
- SACM Compliance Agent — checks cases and changes against SACM rules to flag compliance risks and required approvals.
What makes them safe to run in production
- Read-only by default. Analysis needs no write access. Anything that changes state waits for a person to approve it.
- Your data stays put. Agents query the systems where it already lives, with no copy and no migration.
- Every run is auditable. Inputs, tool calls, conclusion and approver are recorded.
- Your model, your environment. Cloud, Fabrix-managed or on-premises, including sovereign and air-gapped deployments.
Questions we get asked
What are ServiceOps agents?
ServiceOps agents are AI agents that work the service management queue: summarising cases, recommending knowledge articles, routing to the best-fit assignee, identifying the correct asset owner from the CMDB, and checking changes against SACM compliance rules.
Do they replace ServiceNow or another ITSM?
No. They work on top of the ITSM already in place - Fabrix.ai integrates with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Jira and ManageEngine, reading cases and writing updates back, so the system of record does not change.
How does routing decide an assignee?
The Case Routing and Assignment Agent weighs skills, current workload and the impact signals attached to the case, rather than applying a fixed rule table that ages as teams change.
What is SACM, and why do two agents cover it?
SACM is Service Asset and Configuration Management. One agent answers who owns the affected service or asset, using CMDB and service context; the other checks whether a case or change meets SACM rules and needs additional approval. They answer different questions.
Does a person still approve changes?
Yes. The agents summarise, recommend and route; any state-changing action waits for human approval, and the approval is recorded with the rest of the case history.
